Similar lesion s are also indu ced by hypoxic conditions.s' In some cases , the seizure activity and the consequent ischemi c events may play a role in the development oflesion s occurr ing in status epilepticus;' howe ver , in another stud y on experime ntal epilepsy, the strict control of blood pressure and oxygen tension has not been able to prevent the formation of brain lesions."
